She/her
Becky is the Maven’s lead for all things accounting and finance. As an inactive CPA she is an expert in nonprofit accounting and has a breadth of experience gained from over 15 years in the sector. Becky has a real passion for nonprofit management, teaching others and our greater community. She has been in a variety of positions over those 15 + years as a board member, a staff member, an auditor, and a consultant. Becky is a leader in doing big things to help improve nonprofits in the Twin Cities. Becky graduated from Minnesota State University, Mankato with a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.

Melinda believes in the collective power of people to do good in the world. A keen communicator with a laser-sharp strategic mind, Melinda loves connecting people, solving big problems, and distilling them into an afternoon checklist. She has over 30 years’ experience in the nonprofit sector, applying those skills to finance, operations, human resources, board governance, policy development and more. Knowledgeable and empathetic to the realities of fulfilling many roles in one organization, she approaches problems specifically and holistically. Melinda graduated from Lewis & Clark College in Portland, Oregon, with a major in Psychology, and a minor in Gender Studies. She also has a Mini MBA in Nonprofit Management from St. Thomas University in Saint Paul.

Anna is an accomplished nonprofit professional with over six years of experience specializing in operations, development, and financial management. With a strong track record of enhancing organizational efficiency, she has successfully implemented strategic initiatives that increase capacity and optimize limited resources. Anna is passionate about fostering sustainable growth within the nonprofit sector and leveraging data-driven approaches to support mission-focused outcomes. Her commitment to making a positive impact through collaborative relationships and innovative solutions brings value to an organization in both the short- and long-term. Her career in the nonprofit sector began after working in the service industry while she completed her Bachelor's degree in Business Management from the University of Minnesota Crookston.

Kris has 30+ years of experience leading businesses, schools, and nonprofits to a clearer understanding of their financial position. She is a steady and knowledgeable partner with organizations needing accounting guidance, workflow improvements or a time saving software fix. Not only is she an accomplished accountant, she also brings to the table her training in software development. She leverages software to its full potential to bring accuracy and efficiency to the nonprofits she works with. Kris has a B.S. in Applied Mathematics and Computer Science from UW-Stout and a Masters of Accountancy from the University of North Dakota.

Megan is a skilled communicator, researcher and organizer. She has previously run accounts payable and accounts receivable systems for local businesses where she managed complex orders and logistics. Additionally she has experience managing an office and providing top notch customer service. She excels at research for technology improvements. She has excellent communication skills and a high degree of integrity and professionalism. She thrives in an environment where she is constantly learning new skills and has the freedom to apply those advancements to the Mavens clients. She attended Saint Paul College.

Pang is a “Jack of All Trades” related to finance. She started her career in finance in 1995. She has worked both in the nonprofit and for-profit sectors, spanning over 28 years. She has experience in small businesses with less than 10 employees to large corporations with over thousands of employees. The expertise that she brings with her are accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, month end close, year-end close, budget and forecasting, audit prep and finalization, human resource, and benefits administrator. Pang thrives in a challenging environment, loves learning new things, and meeting new people. Pang attended National American University online for her Bachelors of Science in Accounting.

Eva is an experienced community advocate with a strong passion for advancing human and environmental rights. She has a wealth of hands-on experience organizing cooperatives, events and retreats in Europe. She enjoys being able to apply her comprehensive skill set to advance mission driven organizations. She is a clear communicator who is organized, analytical and precise. Eva holds a Master’s degree in Cultural Anthropology from the University of Amsterdam and completed three years of their Master’s program in Spanish Language and Culture.

Linnea is an accomplished and thoughtful leader with 25+ years experience advancing nonprofits. She has served in Executive Director as well as Director of Finance and Administration positions. Through relationship building and holistic evaluation, Linnea is exceptional at developing and implementing processes that allow organizations to run smoothly. She knows the support organizations need most– how to meet their fiduciary and legal obligations and accomplish their mission. Linnea graduated from St. Olaf College with a degree in English and Women’s Studies, and from Hamline University with a Master’s Degree in Nonprofit Management.

Whitney has ten years of experience in the nonprofit sector primarily in educational systems. Her expertise is in systems improvement, process documentation, operations, accounts payable and accounts receivable. Whitney has the gift of elegant articulation, and she loves designing and executing trainings. She is a skilled communicator and project manager in updates to technology. She likes learning new tricks and efficiencies in QuickBooks Online and other systems. Whitney has a Bachelor’s degree in Community and Regional Development from the University of California Davis.
